개인정보처리방침 (Privacy Policy)
1. 수집하는 개인정보 항목

비밀번호는 저장하지 않습니다. 비밀번호 인증은 Google Firebase Authentication이 처리하며, 운영자는 이용자의 비밀번호를 알 수 없고 접근할 수도 없습니다.
2. 수집하지 않는 정보
WordHero는 다음을 일절 수집하거나 이용하지 않습니다.
- 이름, 생년월일, 성별, 전화번호, 주소 등 신원 정보
- 위치 정보
- 연락처, 사진, 파일 등 기기 내 저장 데이터
- 광고 식별자 및 맞춤 광고 — 앱 내 광고가 없습니다
- 사용 행태 분석 및 충돌 보고 — Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics 등 분석 도구를 사용하지 않습니다
앱이 요구하는 기기 권한은 INTERNET 하나뿐입니다. 학습 데이터 동기화 외의 용도로 사용되지 않습니다.
3. 음성 재생(TTS)에 관하여
단어 발음은 이용자 기기에 설치된 음성 엔진(예: Google 음성 인식 및 합성)이 재생합니다. 재생 대상은 앱에 내장된 학습 단어이며, 이용자의 개인정보가 전송되지 않습니다. 음성 엔진의 동작은 해당 엔진 제공자의 정책을 따릅니다.
4. 개인정보의 처리 위탁 및 국외 이전
서비스 제공을 위해 다음 사업자에게 처리를 위탁하고 있습니다.

결제 정보는 Google Play가 직접 처리하며, 운영자는 이용자의 카드번호 등 결제수단 정보를 수집·보관하지 않습니다.

5. 개인정보의 제3자 제공
운영자는 이용자의 개인정보를 제3자에게 판매하거나 제공하지 않습니다. 다만 법령에 근거하여 수사기관이 적법한 절차에 따라 요구하는 경우에는 예외로 합니다.
6. 보유 기간 및 파기
- 계정 정보와 학습 데이터는 이용자가 계정을 삭제할 때까지 보관합니다.
- 삭제 요청 시 지체 없이(요청일로부터 최대 30일 이내) 해당 데이터를 파기합니다.
- 게스트(익명) 이용자의 학습 데이터는 기기에서 앱을 삭제하거나 삭제를 요청하면 접근 불가능해지며, 계정 연결 없이는 복구되지 않습니다.
7. 이용자의 권리와 행사 방법
이용자는 언제든지 다음 권리를 행사할 수 있습니다.
- 본인의 개인정보 열람 요구
- 오류가 있는 경우 정정 요구
- 삭제 요구 (계정 및 학습 데이터 전체 삭제)
- 처리 정지 요구
계정 및 데이터 삭제를 원하시는 경우 아래 이메일로 가입하신 이메일 주소와 함께 요청해 주시면 확인 후 처리해 드립니다.
8. 아동의 개인정보
WordHero는 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 만 14세 미만 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다. 만 14세 미만 아동의 개인정보가 수집된 사실을 확인한 경우 지체 없이 해당 정보를 파기합니다. 법정대리인께서 해당 사실을 발견하신 경우 아래 연락처로 알려주시기 바랍니다.
9. 개인정보의 안전성 확보 조치
- 모든 통신은 HTTPS/TLS로 암호화되어 전송됩니다.
- 학습 데이터는 Firestore 보안 규칙에 따라 본인 계정으로만 접근할 수 있도록 제한됩니다.
- 비밀번호는 Google Firebase Authentication이 암호화하여 관리하며 운영자는 접근할 수 없습니다.

11. 방침의 변경
이 개인정보처리방침의 내용이 추가·삭제·수정되는 경우, 변경 사항의 시행 7일 전부터 이 페이지를 통해 공지합니다. 다만 이용자 권리의 중대한 변경이 있는 경우에는 최소 30일 전에 공지합니다.

We do not store your password. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; the operator cannot access or retrieve your password.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- Name, date of birth, gender, phone number, or address
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or files on your device
- Advertising identifiers or personalized advertising — the apps contain no ads
- Behavioral analytics or crash reports — we do not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar tools
The only Android permission the apps request is INTERNET, used solely to sync your learning data.
3. Text-to-Speech
Word pronunciation is played by the speech engine installed on your device (e.g. Google Speech Services). Only the vocabulary bundled with the app is sent to that engine; none of your personal information is transmitted. The engine’s behavior is governed by its provider’s policy.

Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We never collect or store your card number or other payment details.

5. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law through lawful process by an authorized authority.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Account information and learning data are retained until you delete your account.
- Upon a deletion request, data is destroyed without undue delay (within 30 days at the latest).
- Guest (anonymous) learning data becomes inaccessible once the app is uninstalled or deletion is requested, and cannot be recovered without linking an account.
7. Your Rights
You may at any time request to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To delete your account and all associated data, email us from or with the address you registered with, and we will process the request after verification.
8. Children’s Privacy
WordHero is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it without delay. Parents and guardians who discover such a case may contact us at the address below.
9. Security
- All communication is encrypted in transit via HTTPS/TLS.
- Firestore security rules restrict learning data so that only your own account can access it.
- Passwords are managed and encrypted by Google Firebase Authentication and are inaccessible to the operator.

11. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is amended, we will post the changes on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days in advance where the change materially affects your rights.
